All About My Story
I am Sanam Shakya, a Nepalese artist and master craftsman specializing in Tibetan ritual objects, traditional sculpture, restoration, and metalwork. My journey began in 1984 under the guidance of master artist Mr. Bekha Ratna Shakya, where I developed my skills in traditional craftsmanship over nearly two decades. Since 2003, I have led Ritual Handicraft in Chakupat, Lalitpur, creating and exporting traditional Buddhist artworks for clients in Nepal and abroad. Over the years, I have contributed to monasteries, meditation centers, and cultural heritage projects, while continuing to support the preservation of Nepal’s traditional artistic and spiritual heritage.
